A Victorian town is reeling after five people were killed when a car crashed into a busy pub beer garden in an incident described as “surreal”. A white BMW hit patrons as it crashed into the beer garden of the Royal Hotel on Albert St in Daylesford just after 6pm on Sunday.
Multiple people killed in Victorian crash. As police investigated how the crash happened on Monday morning, tragic images emerged of beer jugs, glasses and plates left on the outdoor tables where the car had driven through. Some of the tables had been flipped, a light pole was crushed on the road and the area has been cordoned off with police tape. Police initially said three people had been killed, but later confirmed five people had died including two men, a woman and a six-year-old boy.
