Police Scotland has enforced an emergency closure on the road this afternoon.
A major motorway in Scotland has been closed in both directions after debris from a bridge fell onto the road and damaged five vehicles.
Traffic Scotland announced that an inspection on the bridge has commenced with Police Scotland closing the road to allow for work to take place. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1.10pm to a report of debris on the M74 near Junction 10.“Recovery has taken place.
