A flash flood warning is canceled for the Cameron Peak burn area where rain fell earlier Friday.
The warning area includes Pennock Pass, Crystal Mountain, the Retreat, and several county roads in and around the east and central portion of the Cameron Peak Burn Area, according to the National Weather Service. The warning is posted until 6:00 p.m.South of the warning area, in Boulder County, Lyons residents have been urged to prepare for possible flooding along the St.
. Recent rainfall and snowmelt in surrounding mountains and higher elevations has the river running hard and fast. Some residents close to the river have been advised that they should be prepared to evacuate should an order come.
