The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of wild weather for the state's east coast today as many towns remain on alert for flooding.
"There is a risk of severe storms extending south from the Mid North Coast down towards the lower Hunter and touching parts of the Blue Mountains. Bradbury said catchments in the west and north-east of the state are already saturated which means flooding will continue today.frantic search is underway in Tullamore, near Dubbo, for a five-year-old childThe flood emergency has kept authorities busy with 56 flood rescues carried out in the past 24 hours by the NSW State Emergency Service.In the state's west, Gunnedah is one of the main areas of concern as the Namoi River was expected to peak at more than eight metres overnight.
"An earlier flood peak moving downstream along the Namoi River peaked early Thursday morning at Wee Waa, where major flooding is likely to continue into next week," the bureau said.
