A number of flights have been imapcted by air traffic control restrictions at the airport
A number of flights from Belfast to London Gatwick have been cancelled due to air traffic control restrictions at the airport.
These include two departures and arrivals at Belfast International Airport and one departure and arrival at Belfast City Airport.It is understood that staff absences within the air traffic control department at the airport has caused more than 60 flights to be cancelled and left thousands of passengers stranded.
The 8.50pm departure from Belfast City Airport and the 7.50pm arrival have also been cancelled, however the 8.50pm arrival is still scheduled to land. “We are extremely disappointed that customers are once again being impacted by this and while this is outside of our control, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused to our customers.
