Residents said it was 'like being in the sea' after heavy rain swamped a Nottinghamshire road. Tia Smith posted this picture on Beeston Updated, with the words - "Nothing to say!! Lol" - after thunderstorms broke over parts of the county on Saturday night, July 8, flooding areas with torrential rain.
"It was like being at the sea, but instead of it being nice, it smelt like sewage water! You needed wellies to get through it!" Tonight: Heavy showers will continue at first, but will gradually die out this evening, leaving a largely dry and increasingly clear night. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
