A Wellingborough man has been handed a suspended sentence after he was caught dumping household waste in a local beauty spot. He was found to be charging customers to remove their rubbish without a proper licence.
The crook was found to be operating a waste removal service under the name of Sil All Services, based in Wellingborough, but did not hold a waste carriers licence. His prosecution was led by North Northamptonshire Council 's waste team after he was caught red-handed.It was found that a Rushden resident, unaware that Mr Buta did not hold a licence, had used the company for the removal of household waste and was assured that the items would be disposed of lawfully.
Appearing at Wellingborough Magistrates' Court in September, Mr Buta was sentenced for a period of 12 weeks in custody, suspended for 12 months. He was also fined £850 and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work in the community.At NorthantsLive we're more than just news.
