The Council’s Family Information Service has collated a calendar of free and low-cost summer activities suitable for children and young people up to the age of 25

A family fun day was recently hosted by the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Flying Start team at Penceodtre park in Cadoxton, Barry. The day provided an opportunity for stallholders to raise awareness of the many free services available in the Vale to support families.

Over 40 services and organisations, including the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Youth Service, Libraries, Communities For Work, Families First Advice Line, Early Help, and Healthy Living teams, collaborated to deliver a free fun-filled day for families to enjoy. The activities included arts and crafts, inflatable fun, magic, archery, face painting, and virtual reality.The event is just one of many activities available for young people this summer. .
