BREAKING: A 24-year-old man is being treated for head and facial injuries after a forklift fell on him at a building site in Bellevue Hill. 9News MORE:

Sydney activist Danny Lim has been injured as officers tried to arrest him, his lawyer claims.

NSW Police said they were called to a shopping centre on George Street in the CBD by security staff at 11am. They were told the man wouldn't leave the building when asked.Police also asked him to move on, and say when he didn't, they started to arrest him. "The man's arrest was discontinued after he struggled with police and sustained an injury to his cheekbone," NSW Police said.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St Vincent's Hospital.Lim's lawyer posted a photo which he said showed well-known Sydney figure on the floor of the QVB shopping centre with blood on his face.Police said they have reviewed body-worn video of the incident.Lim is famous for his quirky signs and sandwich boards.He used to be a common sight around the city with his dog, which has since died.
