A former government worker has faced court after being accused of stabbing to death his partner of 13 years in their Mascot home

Tony Eriksen, 61, appeared via video link at Parramatta Bail Court with his cuffed hands clasped together on Monday morning. The court heard how Eriksen allegedly fatally stabbed his 59-year-old partner Lisa Fenwick in the chest multiple times in their Mascot apartment on Church Avenue on Sunday evening.Eriksen’s online profiles reveal an active member of his local community who has campaigned for parking spaces in his neighbourhood.Eriksen’s personal LinkedIn page says he is a food nutrient educator who works to “empower people to learn how to make healthy food choices throughout their whole lives”.
His LinkedIn page also claims he formerly worked as a fund manager and held positions at the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, Woolworths, Rio Tinto, the Department of Defence and Deloitte.Emergency services were called to the block of apartments about 6.10pm on Easter Sunday following reports of a stabbing.The Morning Edition newsletter is our guide to the day’s most important and interesting stories, analysis and insights.
