A 20-year-old man could spend the rest of his life in jail after allegedly fatally stabbing another young man during a fight in a Brisbane city train station precinct. 7NEWS
The Birkdale man who allegedly stabbed Tagaloa has been charged with murder, an offence which carries a mandatory life sentence with a non-parole period of 20 years in Queensland if convicted.Tributes are flowing for Tagaloa, with one woman on Facebook describing him as “my brother, my best friend, my security guard, one of my favourite people”.
“You had my back since the day I met you, you were one person I could always rely on to be there for me no matter where or when, you’ve helped me and saved me so many times. “You’ve had such a big impact on my life and it will never be the same without you. You will always hold a place in my heart and I don’t think I will ever be able to process this.The victim of an alleged murder in Fortitude Valley has been identified as Lauie Michael Tagaloa.Police said the altercation between the two groups started in the Brunswick Street Mall before continuing in a walkway to the train station.
