The 27-year-old's comments resulted in a"significant number" of complaints being made to anti-discrimination charity Kick it Out.

The suspension covers English Premier League and EFL Cup clashes, however Bentancur will still be able to take part in his side's European games - with meetings with Roma and Rangers scheduled during his domestic ban.
