Oprah, Hillary Clinton and Malala will all deliver virtual addresses.
Following a viral tweet to Barack Obama last month from Lincoln Debenham, 17, a senior at Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles, the former President announced this week that he and former First Lady Michelle Obama would give multiple commencement addresses, together with athletes, national leaders and celebrities.
The event is hosted by an education nonprofit called the XQ Institute, the LeBron James Family Foundation and the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Colleges traditionally compete to land the most impressive commencement speakers and elite schools always publicize their big names.
