Summer's here! For one day...
The Met Office is forecasting “plenty of sunshine” as temperatures are set to get as high as 27C in Nottingham today, August 10. Weather officials have predicted that summer has finally arrived in Nottinghamshire following the stormy start to August.
For today, throughout the region, the Met Office says: “A largely dry and fine day, although starting rather cloudy across the far north of the region, and the odd heavy shower or thunderstorm may form in the northwest later. Feeling very warm, with light winds. Maximum temperature 29C.”Discussing the weather for tonight, forecasters added: “A few showers are possible across the northwest, otherwise largely dry. Further sunny spells this evening, but clouds spreading in from the west overnight.
However, from Saturday, August 12, to Monday, August 14, the region is set to be hit with ran, the government agency warns: “Cooler, with occasional showers. These turning heavy at times and perhaps merging into longer spells of rain, most likely across northwestern parts. Generally quite breezy, but lighter winds Monday.”
