Latest Nottingham Forest news from Nottinghamshire Live brings you reaction to the arrival of Marko Stamenic
The midfielder agreed a five-year deal with the Reds but he will spend the first season on loan at at Olympiacos that is also owned by City Ground supremo Evangelos Marinakis. Stamenic arrives having played in Denmark and Serbia’s top divisions with Copenhagen and Red Star respectively.
Stamenic is also a 15-time New Zealand international, after making his debut for his country against Curaçao in September 2021, scoring his first international goal against Qatar last June. JoeBaker9: "Really worried about Forest's game plan here. We are told we need to make £20m in sales but all our many recruitment staff are focused on buying and no one dealing with sales. What is the point of buying more players and being penalised points for non-compliance?"
Reddawn: "I just dont get this sort of buying players then loaning them to Marinakis it's happened before and it has not worked as the players fail in Greece and we don't see them anymore as they are shipped out, why not let Marinakis buy him and loan him to us then no buying fee involved just wages."
