Authorities say a 15-year-old later taken into custody on a capital murder charge was seen on surveillance footage pulling out a gun and firing into a group of students. The suspect’s identity has not been released because he is a juvenile, and authorities have not publicly identified a motive in the shooting.

Since March, Poirier has been laid to rest in Pontiac, Mich., where he and his mother are from, Hagman said.School staff presented Poirier’s mother, Roshone Jacob, with a framed school picture of her son as well as his last art project, also framed. “He didn’t deserve this at all,” she said. “The government’s got to do better on these gun laws, enforce them more.”“Imma fight till the end,” she said. “Until he gets his justice.”
