There is a new angle to the upcoming Federal Election, one that is set to derail Labor and blindside Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Albanese Govt vulnerable to a ' Muslim Vote ' raid on key Labor seats as fight for party's political survival shifts away from energy
The fight for Labor’s political survival in western Sydney has shifted from policy issues on energy, climate and cost of living to one which will be about demands and needs of the Muslim community. The latest pro-Palestine movement has been in full swing since late 2023 and with protests now moving onto the rooftop of Parliament House in Canberra without any challenge by security, it seems only to be gaining momentum.
However, the core idea of becoming a local member at state or federal level is to fight on issues such as social, economic, education, health and environmental policy for all the people they represent in the broader community. The Muslim Vote webpages also say they are interested in social housing and cost of living - but only in the context of it relating to the Muslim community - and wish to force the current government into minority, while acting in unison to take seats for Muslim representatives to influence government policy.
What if multicultural communities began parallel political movements, each demanding the government represent their specific causes regarding a regional dispute on the other side of the world.
