Apple's plans for WWDC include a new MacBook Pro. It might be the newest Mac, but it may not be a smart purchase.

laptops into the already crowded family of macOS hardware. Part of that family is the inexplicable 13-inch MacBook Pro, which offers more power than the MacBook Air laptops at a cheaper price than the larger MacBook Pro laptops.

Apple is preparing to offer those looking for power on a budget another option, with the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models set to appear in the Apple Store’s refurbished section with a hefty discount on the price. Joe Rossignol reports. "The latest 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are available with M2 Pro or M2 Max chips, providing up to 20% faster performance and up to 30% faster graphics compared to the previous generation. The laptops can be configured with up to 96GB of RAM, compared to 64GB previously."AFP via Getty Images
