Anders said the photo was his most significant contribution to the space program, given the ecological philosophical impact it had, along with making sure the Apollo 8 command module and service module worked. Apollo 8 astronauts, James Lovell, William Anders and Frank Borman, prior to training in exercise for their lunar orbital mission at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, on 18 December 1968.“I don’t know who said it, maybe all of us said, ‘Oh my God. Look at that!’” Anders said.
