A former Collingwood player has been charged after two people died in a car crash on the Brand Highway in Western Australia on Friday morning.
Shannon Cox, 38, was allegedly behind the wheel of the Toyota when it collided with the Suzuki hatchback, killing two women in their 80s. Cox has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death. The former Collingwood player was due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday. In 2009, he played 11 of the first 13 games in the seniors before spending the remainder of the season in the VFL.
