Keith Wyness, once Blues CEO, has given his view on the situation at Everton as uncertainty continues over the club's future ownership
Keith Wyness believes there will be parties capable of solving the issues that have so far prevented a successful takeover of Everton . The former Blues chief is hopeful realistic proposals still exist and that the answers may lie among the bidders that previously expressed an interest in the club. Everton are back on the market after the collapse of the latest move to take the club out of the hands of majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
The group is mired in legal and regulatory issues, and the E CHO understands concerns over the complexity of those matters and how they will be resolved, which led to The Friedkin Group’s withdrawal. The Friedkin Group had emerged from a crowded field when Moshiri searched for new bidders after 777 Partners’ own takeover deal collapsed at the end of May amid the turmoil that hit the organisation.
