The one-time head of Australia’s biggest booze company is selling a swanky home on Brighton’s Golden Mile where he hosted former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting
The corporate high-flyer still chairs the Ponting Foundation, Ricky and Rianna Ponting’s cancer charity, and the former Australian cricket captain is among the famous faces who have visited the house-sized Brighton apartment.

With “hospitality in my blood” Mr O’Hoy said the home was great for entertaining, but the couple’s life at the apartment has centred around its views.
“Wednesday is ‘sailing day’ in Brighton, and you get this flotilla of boats going past and a couple of times you have felt they are in your backyard,” Mr O’Hoy said. “And it was great pre-Covid as we could be away for three months of the year, and enjoy Brighton for nine months of the year, with access to the walking trails and the bike trails.”Outdoor living areas embrace the property’s coastal lifestyle.With excellent neighbours in the building and the pair having fallen in love with the location the O’Hoys are selling to “move down the road”.
