Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak has been questioned on the rising death toll of Palestinian civilians as the country continues its relentless bombing of the Gaza Strip in retaliation for Hamas’ attacks more than two weeks ago.
The militant group launched a large-scale attack against Israel from Gaza on October 7, an assault which is rooted in decades of conflict.
