Former KCPRC 2 anchor and YouTuber Dominique Sachse debuts her new book:"Life Makeover: Embrace the Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You," When former KPRC 2 anchor Dominique Sachse left TV after nearly 30 years last fall, she teased about a book that she had been writing since 2018. Her “Life Makeover: Embrace the Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You,” debuted earlier in April as a top seller on Publishers Weekly and best seller on the USA Today list.
“I wanted the book to be reflective of the fact that we are essentially making over our lives, but we’re starting from the outside in. I believe it’s easier and quicker and more exciting to start that way.”Q. Was leaving the TV news business your “life makeover”?Absolutely. I had a guaranteed contract, a guaranteed salary, but I had come to the brutal honesty and realization that while my career was a great blessed career, it was time to move into something that was going to stir my soul.
Q. You’ve shared on social media that you’re also going through a divorce. How has that impacted you?Any sane person really wouldn’t go through all of these things at once, but I had to move forward and do so with dignity, grace and perseverance. You can’t avoid the storms in life — they’re going to come. But you always have to remember that at some point, the sun is going to break through the clouds.We live in the same apartment building, so we literally travel the elevator to see each other.
