Manchester United and Chelsea are two of Liverpool's rivals looking to do major business before the transfer deadline this week.
According to the Evening Standard, Premier League new boys Luton Town are interested in the former Bolton Wanderers defender. Mauricio Pochettino has been trimming his squad throughout the summer and there is still an openness to bid farewell to current members of the squad. Gary O'Neil's side have already rejected a £47m bid from the Premier League champions for the midfielder. The Molineux club are reportedly holding out in excess of £60m.
The Red Devils have been offered the chance to open talks with the Danish midfielder, as Ange Postecoglu looks to sell the 28-year-old before Friday's deadline.
