Breaking: Former NSW premier John Fahey dies, age 75
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said on Saturday Mr Fahey's contribution to NSW and Australian politics would leave "a lasting legacy".
"Personally, I am grateful for John’s support and encouragement. He has always been a wonderful role model to generations of Liberals."My thoughts are with John’s wife Colleen, his children and grandchildren. I have spoken to Colleen to pass on my condolences and offer a State Memorial Service.
“Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. My heart was in my mouth,” said the NSW Premier, John Fahey, who greeted the news that the city had won the world’s biggest sporting prize by leaping into the air.
