Messina served as deputy chief of staff under Obama and later ran the former president’s 2012 reelection campaign. He now runs his own political consulting firm, The Messina Group, from San Francisco.is a former PayPal executive and tech investor who is often included as part of the “PayPal Mafia,” which comprises former PayPal employees who went on to be associated with big tech companies like Tesla, LinkedIn, Square and Yelp.
Even despite his apparent disdain for the city, he still retains a house nearby in Glen Park at 43 Everson Street that has drawn plenty of attention from neighbors. Rabois has filed plans to do a massive renovation of the house, including putting in a basketball court, whichThe house at 2 Everson Street went on the market in Dec. 2020 for $12 million. It didn’t fetch an immediate buyer, though, and the price was reduced to $11 million in June 2021 and then to $10.3 million in July 2022.
