Now, the newspaper reported, his mother, Megan Beasley, has filed a lawsuit claiming that the athletic training staff contracted by the school district “failed to properly diagnose and treat a concussion” she says Heubel suffered prior to that game. They claim because of that, Heubel suffered from second impact impact syndrome because he was hit with the concussion against Cathedral before he recovered from the first. They contend that caused the traumatic brain injury.
