Houso with 3 homes reveals big mistake regular buyers make

A former social housing resident and high school failure has defied the odds to build aKev Tran, 32, grew up in western Sydney’s Liverpool area after his Vietnamese parents immigrated to Australia in the 1980s.

Mr Tran said he worked minimum wage jobs after leaving school, but is now a father and a buyer’s agent at Sydney firm InvestorKit. He owns three properties across Australia. He said he struggled for many years, but things turned around when he got a job at a casino, which made him view investing and saving in a different way.He became interested in property and began educating himself on the topic. He snapped up his first property at aged 26, buying a townhouse in Melbourne.

“Because many people can’t afford to buy a house as a family home these days, they may opt for an apartment in their local area. But it’s a trap in which families will get stuck with an underperforming asset.”Mr Tran said apartments were often in high-density locations. Many of these locations could be easily oversupplied with housing, making it harder to sell for a premium.

“But what I learnt when I started working at a casino in my early twenties – and seeing people blow insane amounts of money and saying they could just make more – was that saving can only get you so far.”“Live at home as long as you can, or in a share house. With expenses rising anyone who wants to purchase property has to get a little creative, and be prepared to sacrifice certain luxuries. Saving up the deposit is the hard grind.

Commodore Scott commanded submarines and worked on them for decades before also serving in a senior position in Iraq and Afghanistan. In an interview with Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell, Commodore Scott spoke of the dangers and thrills of a life under the sea, his struggles with alcoholism and depression and of the 'coffin dreams' he used to experience in periods on board a submarine that stretched for months. “There’s some difficult stuff in there but I think at the end of the day, despite the challenges, despite the discomfort, for me it was always a very worthwhile life and it kept me going back for it year on year,” Commodore Scott told Mr Clennell.

'Perhaps I’ve been stunned before, there’s been no shortage of announcements on submarine capability over the last 20 years – they haven’t actually turned into new submarines for the navy,' Commodore Scott told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “It’s one of the reasons why I do have a great deal of confidence in the AUKUS announcement. “It’s clear, it’s sensible, it’s progressive, it meets the strategic need but it does it with the right urgency – so that’s area where I can see action coming in and hitting the ground pretty well.”
