Former Seven Network producer Taylor Auerbach will today return to the Federal Court witness box to give a second day of evidence in former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann's defamation case.

At the time, Mr Lehrmann was visiting Sydney, and Mr Auerbach said he was appointed as "babysitter" for the former Liberal staffer.Mr Auerbach testified that Bruce Lehrmann paid the expenses initially, but later asked Seven for a "per diems" payment, as "his bank account was dry".
He suggested the former producer was motivated to testify by wanting to humiliate the network, after he was "sidelined" from the production of the Spotlight story, and his contract was not renewed.
