A goalkeeper whose penalty saving heroics gave Shrewsbury Town one of their greatest play-off victories has retired.
Luke Daniels, who has most recently been at relegated League Two side Forest Green Rovers, has decided to hang up his gloves at the age of 36.
He went on to play for a number of clubs, such as Scunthorpe United and Middlesbrough, and has now decided to retire. Daniels was signed by former boss Paul Simpson on an initial month long deal which then became a season loan - and played a key role in the side that reached the play-offs.
