A 7 NEWS Adelaide television reporter covering the story when a former local councillor accused of stalking appeared in court has been asked out on a date by the man, moments after he was chased down the street after leaving the building. Ex-Onkaparinga councillor Robert De Jonge appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with six counts of aggravated stalking.
Councillor accused of stalking asks 7NEWS reporter out on date. Prosecutors alleged in court he used a tracking device to stalk his victim and continually left notes on her car windscreen. Lawyers for the former councillor said his three computers and mobile devices were illegally seized. Outside court, 7NEWS Court Reporter Hannah Foord asked De Jonge if he would be contesting the charges to which he replied: “Of course, I haven’t done anything wrong, Hannah.
