Brian Napper is facing 13 charges over the alleged sexual abuse of two boys in the 1980s.
A former New South Wales private boys' college teacher has been granted bail after he was charged with the sexual abuse of two young students in the 1980s.Brian Napper, 74, was granted bail during his first court appearance since charges were laid earlier this weekThe prosecution said Napper had made admissions relating to some of the alleged offences
The 74-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 13 offences, including five counts of sexual assault. In opposing bail, the prosecutor told the court that Napper had made admissions about a number of the alleged offences.Brian Napper is prohibited from unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18 as part of his bail conditions.
He also argued Napper was unlikely to receive proper medical treatment in prison if he was denied bail. "The bail conditions being proposed, combined with his limited record and time out of strife, are such that the risks can be ameliorated."
