Homeland Security Investigations agents in Galveston searched McCoy on Nov. 30, 2019, after the cruise ship he was aboard was docked at the Galveston Port, the release said. Authorities were looking for McCoy based on details in a prior child pornography investigation from 2015. In McCoy's possession, they found a Lenovo laptop with images of child pornography stored on it.
Nine videos on McCoy's flash drive appeared to be taken with a hidden camera. The videos, which date back to April 2013, show teenagers changing their clothes and bathing in a residential bathroom, a gym and at a hotel for a cheerleading competition, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. One of the teenagers in the videos was a minor during this time period.
