A former Northern Territory police commissioner and South Australian police assistant commissioner is identified as the victim of a bicycle crash in Adelaide's east.

South Australia police Senior Constable Matt Brown said: "Our condolences go to his family and friends and all that he served with, not just here, but also in the Northern Territory." Five people have died on South Australia's roads so far this year, three of them car drivers and one a motorcyclist.
