UTSA's Corey Mayfield and the UIW trio of Kelechi Anyalebechi, Taylor Grimes and Marcus Cooper will have NFL opportunities following this weekend's draft.

UIW defensive lineman Chris Whittaker also earned an invitation to rookie minicamp with the Denver Broncos. Anyalebechi was a two-time finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award honoring the national defensive player of the year in the FCS and was twice selected as a third-team FCS All-American. Through a five-year career with the Cardinals, Anyalebechi set program records with 336 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hurries and seven forced fumbles. He also notched 9.5 sacks.
