The Brazilian Grand Prix ended in wild scenes as Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was robbed of redemption by a sensational piece of driving.

Perez tried in vain to get ahead of Alonso in a mad dash to the finish line but he was denied a podium by just 0.053 seconds in a photo finish.Fought off the fastest car on the grid with sensational driving skill and placementIt was a cruel way to end the race for the Mexican, who has seriously struggled this season after claiming two early victories, prompting speculation over his future at Red Bull despite being contracted for 2024.

It was carnage at Turn 1 with Alex Albon making contact with Nico Hulkenberg, which pushed him into further contact with the other Haas of Kevin Magnussen.Debris and multiple tyres was sent flying across the track and Ricciardo found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time with a rogue tyre bouncing across the track collecting his back wheel and rear wing.
