FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Starting around two weeks ago, Fort Wainwright features a new sign at their main gate.According to a press release, the new sign is designed to highlight the 11th Airborne Division, currently the fort’s most prominent tenant.

Going by the unit nickname “Arctic Angels”, the 11th Airborne Division was activated at Fort Wainwright and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on June 6th of last year.
