The Fort Worth ISD has confirmed a case of monkeypox at Arlington Heights High School. Tarrant County Public Health confirmed this case.
A letter was sent to parents notifying them of the positive case. Parents are encouraged to monitor their children's health for the next three weeks.
Some symptoms of monkeypox include fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion and a rash that looks like blisters.has recommendations to protect yourself and others against monkeypox, including avoiding close, skin-to-skin contact with others, do not touch the rash or scabs of a person with monkeypox and wash your hands and use hand sanitizer regularly.
