Andrew Forrest and Kerry Stokes will come face-to-face at a black tie charity event in Perth on Saturday night.
Andrew Forrest has accused the media empire controlled by fellow West Australian billionaire Kerry Stokes of being biased toward the oil and gas industry.
The comments were made on the eve of the Stokes-backed charity event Telethon, broadcast by Seven to raise money for sick kids. Dr Forrest and Mr Stokes are expected to come face-to-face at the black-tie Telethon ball on Saturday night.Woodside chairman Richard Goyder helms the board of the Telethon Trust, and is also expected to be in attendance.
Mr Stokes is chairman of Seven West Media and his Seven Group holds a 40 per cent stake in the TV and newspaper company. Seven Group, run by Mr Stokes’ son Ryan, has a 30 per cent stake in oil and gas producer Beach Energy.
