Why The Civic And Mustang Are Worse In Forza Motorsport Now, the Mustang and the Civic are both perfectly respectable choices for a starting car. However, each of these cars prioritizes one aspect of performance over another, causing them to sag behind in other ways. The Civic has front-wheel drive and a slightly lower weight than the Subaru, so it also has pretty decent handling. However, its low Power and Torque mean it lags behind in speed.
By contrast, the Mustang is the fastest and zippiest of the three starting cars, with 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of Torque. However, it's far heavier than either of the other options, and its rear-wheel drivetrain means it's more likely to lose grip when cornering. Rear-wheel drive also controls a bit more awkwardly than all-wheel drive, which makes it harder for new players to get used to.
But in the end, the decision between starter cars is entirely up to the player. The Subaru may be the best on paper, but some players may feel a special affinity or loyalty toward a particular make or model. All three cars remain available for purchase later; players are only stuck with their starter car until they can afford to buy a new one. Plus, with the tuning features afforded by Forza Motorsport, it's possible to compensate for any car's shortcomings.
