Manchester United's former goalkeeper announced on Monday he will be hanging up his gloves
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster believes conceding the goals he has for Wrexham this season makes this the right time to retire from football for a second time.
This victory all but sealed promotion back to the Football League and the North Wales club lifted the title a few weeks later. Foster chose to sign a one-year contract extension for the League Two campaign but has found it difficult in the fourth tier. "I feel like there has probably been four or five goals already this season that I should be saving. It is weird because goals are going in and I'm thinking: 'You should have saved that, how haven't you saved that?' And I think that's the reason why I am retiring and I just know I can't do what I used to do.

Poor defending and a worrying tendency to lose the ball in dangerous positions means Foster has been far from to blame for such a high number. For a start, he helped secure a point from the 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon by saving a second half penalty. But he has decided to once again step away from the game, having...
