The trial of four individuals accused of murdering 15-year-old Perth schoolboy Cassius Turvey has commenced in the Western Australian Supreme Court. The prosecution alleges that Turvey's death was the culmination of a series of events stemming from petty grievances involving individuals he did not know. The court heard that Turvey was struck with a metal pole, causing a brain bleed that ultimately led to his death ten days later.

The 15-year-old died in hospital 10 days after he is alleged to have been hit over the head with a metal pole in the eastern Perth suburb of Middle Swan on October 13, 2022. "He was set upon by people he did not know over petty grievances that did not involve him," Mr Stanwix told the jury.
