Four arrested after £100k worth of drugs and cash seized in East Lancashire
Four men have been arrested as a large amount of drugs and cash were seized in east Lancashire across Pendle and Blackburn.
On Monday at around 1.10pm, Lancashire Constabulary stopped a car on Broadway in Nelson. In the vehicle, around £16,000 in cash was found by officers. Three men, aged 25, 29 and 43 were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and are currently in custody. The man aged 43 was also arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.At 1.45pm, an address in Glenfield Road, Nelson was searched and 79 cannabis plans and a quantity of dried cannabis were seized. Here, a fourth man, a 19-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis and is in custody.
Then, at around 4.35pm, a search of an industrial unit at Eanam Business Park in Blackburn, recovered a further 142 cannabis plants.
