A serious head-on crash involving four cars on the M4 Motorway in Western Sydney has resulted in multiple injuries and the closure of the motorway. One car was extensively damaged in the collision.
Four people sustained injuries in a catastrophic head-on collision involving four vehicles on the M4 Motorway in Western Sydney . The incident, which occurred around 2:40 pm on Monday at Eastern Creek, prompted the closure of the motorway. Emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of the collision. Disturbing footage from the scene reveals one car severely mangled, with its roof completely torn off.
The back seats of the vehicle are visible, but the front end, including the driver's and front passenger's seats, is unrecognizable, completely flattened by the impact. Paramedics provided immediate medical attention to two drivers at the scene – a man and a woman, both in their 30s. The male driver was transported to Westmead Hospital in critical condition, while the female driver was taken to Blacktown Hospital in a stable condition.Two additional male drivers, aged 40 and 53, were also transported to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing. Following rescue efforts, one individual was taken to Blacktown Hospital, while another received treatment at the scene. Authorities established a crime scene, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes as traffic congestion ensued. Initially, all citybound lanes of the motorway were closed, but one of the three lanes was reopened around 4:30 pm. Subsequently, the westbound lanes, which were also closed, have since been reopened
