Four men have been arrested after an alleged daylight assault in Sydney's Northern Beaches in what NSW Police believe is a gang-related incident.
Police allege onlookers called emergency services to a house on Oyama Avenue in Manly on Sunday at about 9.30am to report a man was being assaulted and forced into a car.A pursuit followed after the driver allegedly failed to stop, officers used road spikes bringing the car to a halt on Starkey Street at Forestville.
"Five men were found in the vehicle, one man was located with injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment," police said in a statement.The men are yet to be charged.In 2021, police said a gangland war between the Hamzy and Alameddine families claimed the life of underworld boss Bilal Hamze. Investigations are underway by the State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad, as detectives call for information or dashcam footage.
