Four individuals, including an 11-year-old boy, were shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on Thursday.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Monroe Avenue, the 11-year-old boy, a 31-year-old woman, and two men ages 33 and 48, were near the street when they were approached by an unknown vehicle, according to police. An occupant fired shots. All four of the struck individuals were initially reported in serious condition, according to police.
The 31-year-old woman was taken to Rush Hospital and the other three wounded individuals were taken to Stroger Hospital.
