Foreign affairs specialist Erin Watson-Lynn is tipped to be a strong contender, while former vice-chancellor at the University of Notre-Dame, Celia Hammond, has also stepped up to vie for Curtin. Ms Bishop indicated she would like to see a woman pre-selected to replace her as she announced her plans to not recontest her seat at the upcoming federal election.
