A 'devious' Adelaide woman who stole millions from the savings and super accounts of elderly victims, using some of the funds on hire cars and hotels, has not revealed what she did with all of the money, a court has heard.

Patricia Evans stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from elderly victims.Adelaide woman Patricia Evans was described by a prosecutor as a "con artist" after pleading guilty to stealing from vulnerable victims.

Prosecutor Peter Salu told South Australia's District Court that Evans was a "con artist" who stole $4.2 million over nine years, earning "more than a judge of this court for many of those years" and having a "profound" and "simply horrible" impact on her victims. The court heard Evans endeared herself to elderly people, "preying" on them and gaining their trust, before creating problems for the victims and then seeking cash to fix them.

The court heard uncharged acts included convincing bank tellers to hand over money without the appropriate paperwork, which had cost them their jobs.
