The Samsung Flip Park will open at the Nottingham Contemporary for one-day only
A free family-friendly skateboarding event will be taking place in Nottingham next month. On Saturday, April 13, the Flip Park will open at the Nottingham Contemporary for the day.
The event will be celebrating all the different aspects of skate culture and will be bringing together some of the biggest names in skateboarding from the local Nottingham scene, as well as stars from accorss the country. On the day, there will be skateboard design workshops, panel discussions, yoga for skaters, and skate photography workshops.
This includes a session led by Olympic skate photographer Garry Jones, who will award the most creative photo with a special Samsung prize. There will also be guest speakers on the day, as well as free skateboard coaching for all abilities for those aged seven-years-old or older.It is being hosted in partnership with Skate Nottingham and Samsung, whilst also being supported by Skateboard GB. This includes a skate session for women and girls led by Skate Nottingham’s female-led Skate Hive.
Local partners like Supereight, Forty Two Shop, Honest Skateboards & Montana Shop will also be taking part in the day.
